The tour continued today with a frosty start in Fernie, BC. Winter is definitely around the corner and skiers everywhere are getting stoked to check out the new skis as NRI is busy shipping them like mad.
Today's destination was NRS in Moscow, ID. NRS has been the go-to name in outfitting whitewater enthusiasts for years. They have partnered with NRI for their Canadian fulfillment and this would be the first time visiting their head office. An absolutely wonderful bunch of people keep the wheels turning at NRS HQ, and chatter of upcoming trips and expeditions, sprinkled with some cyclocross, fill the office.
The NRI Client + Customer World Tour 2016 began under sunny skies, leaving NRI headquarters in Kamloops, BC on a Sunday afternoon. The Buell hadn't been on the road in over 4 years and seemed to enjoy having the dust blown off, as well as the lovely Ducati escort of ADJ as far as Malakwa, BC.
The ride to Golden, BC was mostly pleasant, but then September showers made for some miserable riding for the latter half of the day. It was wonderful to roll into friendly Fernie, BC and have a hot dinner waiting, cooked up by Christy and Lance of Elevation Industries - 10 year NRI client.
Monday was time well spent catching up with the staff at Elevation - Canadian distributors of Kavu, TASC, and ENO Hammocks. They have based themselves in the beautiful Rockies ski town of Fernie, while leaving the warehousing and fulfillment to NRI in Kamloops. A quick trip was made over to Cranbrook, BC to visit longtime independent retailer Iain McLeod at High Country Sportswear.
It's always great to spend some face-time with the wonderful clients and customers NRI has the pleasure of working with.

We recently went down for some surf, sun and a bit of networking at the Surf Summit 18 in Cabo. Spending some face time with clients and connections is always such a great way to catch up and review business together, and doing so outside the office in a relaxed atmosphere makes it that much better.
There were a number of great speakers during the three day event including UFC's Dana White, Shaheen Sadeghi of LAB Holding, and Mike Yapp of Google/YouTube who showed off some crazy technology we should all expect to change the way we interact with our surroundings in the near future.
NRI was stoked to be a presenting sponsor of Surf Summit 18 and to spend time with a great group of retailers, brands and industry folks. We even managed to catch a couple waves and no sunburn.
After some hard work we have a shiny new website. And this is just the start. A new website means we’ll bring you regular updates on what’s going on here at NRI and hopefully some case studies for new and existing clients to learn how to expand their business. Stay tuned and be sure to follow us on twitter, instagram and facebook.
